"San Francisco..." a San Francisco Travel Page by Agraichen

I can't believe I worked in San Francisco for years (1974-1983) and still travel there frequently to attend the theatre, but I have very few photos..

That's the problem with work...It gets in the way of doing really serious things like updating VT...

I now carry a camera everywhere and even if it's just a snapshot, I get a picture, like the one of the TransBay Terminal as I was driving by last week.

SF at night has it's own charm. While a tripod is recommended for taking night pics, just placing the camera on a wall will help steady it.

Little does anyone realize that this "scerene" picture is a nightmare of traffic jams during the day and even night if there are baseball or football games going on.

The sights and sounds of SF are like none other. There are a few cities in the US that have a "look," a "sound," or a "feel." It's something that you get used to, but can't always describe it.

In recent years San Francisco has revived and restored old trolley cars from around the country and deployed them for every day use. It brings back a bit of nostalgia as well as some great photo ops.

It takes me back to the 60's and 70's riding the MTA in Boston.
