Living in CA for almost 40 years I'd never been north of the Sacramento Airport, so I jumped at the opportunity to drive from San Diego to Portland, OR where my daughter was moving to attend Medical School.
I mapped the route and Redding seemed like a good place to stop for our first night on the road.
This page will be a work in progress as I stop in Redding on my way to Portland and discover more about the town.
The most incredible view of Mt Shasta comes into view just north of Redding while driving I-5.
- Pros:Found a great restaurant and great scenery
- Cons:Haven't been around long enough to determine any yet.
