"Capitola, CA" Capitola by Agraichen

What a great find. Sometimes it just takes a bit of nudging to see just what "is in your back yard."

A couple weeks ago we bought a picture at an art fair. When my wife showed it so a colleague, he said, that was taken from a restaurant in Capitola.

DUH....74 miles southwest.

So, as we drove to breakfast in Danville, I suggested that this would be a great day for a drive. My wife agreed; we picked up coffee and hit the road.

Top down, sun about 80 degrees, ti was a great trip. But the town awaited....

Like any ocean side town in California, "The Beach" is "The Place" to be on a hot sunny afternoon.

This one differs a bit as there are a number of artists that set up their displays at the edge near a little park at the far right of the photo.

The park has public restrooms and showers to add to the convenience.
