I was in St Petersburg because I participated in the international business students' competition organized by the university there. That was my first time in Russia. Also I visited Moscow during the same trip, but I could say that St Petersburg is more beautiful city. It seemed that every building, every monument still has the feeling of tzar and dukes who ruled over Russia couple centuries ago. Of course, the fact that St Petersburg is a city on many islands, gives it a right to call itself Northern Venezia (but I heard that Stockholm is also using that name;)
