Welcome to Sheffield! Although I was brought up in the South of England, I came to Sheffield 2 years ago to study French at the University here and after about 2 weeks it felt like my home town! But then that's exactly what Sheffield's like. It's been described as the largest village in the UK (despite actually being the 4th largest city) because that's the kind of atmosphere there is. The people are among the friendliest you'll find in Britain, there's loads to do and the beer's a third of what you'd pay in London!
