I lived in Iowa the first 17 years of my life:) It's a great state, albeit a little boring:) People are incredibly friendly here, but watch out for the SNOW!!! Hope these tips help!
PS--I've written a travelogue on this page about Reverse Culture Shock which I would love some comments on or responses to. Thanks in advance for your input! |

TRAVELLING YEAH! | pieter_jan_v Sun Jan 4, 2004 13:57 UTC Great Coming Home T-logue, but depression - no way! That's why we have VT. You never loose your friends here and I can read travel stories for hours. If you feel depressed, just go out and explore some of your home grounds. Have fun, PJ | bushes39 Sun Dec 28, 2003 13:02 UTC I'm glad I could reveal the marvel that is Galesburg. My idotic persuit for education might bring me to Iowa, and I've enjoyed your page (actually, I've eaten at the Truckstop on the way home from a soccer game). | vaticanus Fri Dec 26, 2003 13:35 UTC Got out my Rand McNally and Iowa looks very interesting in the northeast corner and not one interstate in sight. That's always a good sign. |
