Pumpkin Head People Visit in the Fall

Area businesses and homeowners get into the fall foliage spirit and create unique, colorful and playful pumpkin people throughout the village of Jackson and surrounding towns.

Take the self-guided tour of the pumpkin people. Maps are produced and made available at the Chamber of Commerce office as well as member businesses.

Ride the Conway Scenic Railroad

There are a number of rides you can take, such as the Valley Train, The Notch Train and the dining Car Chocorua. We took the Notch Train which is 5 hours 30 minutes round trip. It headed up into the mountains through Crawford Notch to Fabyan Station and back to North Conway. Beautiful Fall scenery could be seen most of the way!

They sell a 'boxed' lunch if you want for $8.00 a person. But if you can, bring a cooler with your own handmade sandwiches. You will enjoy it much more than what they put up for $8.00 ... and it would cost less. But the train ride was really interesting ... even tho we would have been happier with a 4 hour ride rather than 5.
