    • American Lung Associations throughout the country are joining forces to Blow the Whistle on Asthma. Walk teams of co-workers, friends, family members and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients will raise funds and awareness in the fight against lung disease.

    Blow the Whistle on Asthma is a 5K walk in downtown Manchester. An anticipated 300-500 walkers of all ages and fitness levels will participate in the inaugural event.

    Over 20,000 New Hampshire children suffer from asthma. The American Lung Association of NH provides asthma education programs to kids and adults throughout the state, but they need your help to expand their services and make a difference in the lives of families who struggle with asthma.

    • At the Manchester Garden Center this year they had a "record breaker" pumpkin weighing in over 1300 pounds. Thanks to my friends, Sam & Patsy Sargent for sending me the pictures!

     I like your tips on canoeing, kyaking and white water rafting on the Merrimack River that flows through the city! I grew up here so it's nice to see some pics to bring back memories...
