    • Visit the new public access pathway around Deer Island. The new park is almost five miles of interconnecting trails with beautiful views of Boston, Revere, Winthrop and surrounding area islands and lighthouses. The pathways are free and open from sunrise to sunset for pedestrian use only.
    The paths go up and around hills with viewing spots set up with granite benches or stones to sit and rest. Bring a picnic lunch and a camera. But keep in mind that there are NO Public Restrooms put in yet. Hope that changes soon!

    Directions: Go to the end of US Route 145, turn right & pass the Winthrop Yacht Club to Point Shirley. Road bends & turns to Deer Island. Small free parking lot with walk paths on either side.

    • Winthrop has 5 beaches. A least two are large enough for walking with beautiful views and the calming sound of the surf.

     Beautiful page on Winthrop! Funny enough, I actually have been to Winthrop, Wasthington which too is a pretty unknown place! I was in Boston area once a few years ago and I truly adored it. I'd love to visit again!
