Red Tower marks the start or end of the city wall of York.
At this end in days gone bye the ground was very marshy.
From here to Tower Street the wall passes close to the grave of Dick Turpin. Come off before the end at the Phoenix pub.
- Pros:Nice and small, flat easy to walk around
- Cons:Can be very busy in summer
- In a nutshell:Old city history = quaint
