Sonora, Texas was settled on the slopes of the Edwards Plateau in 1889. The worlds largest fenced cattle trail once ran from Brady to Sonora. But the thing to visit in the area, is the Caverns of Sonora, which is located ten miles southwest of town.

I've never experience a warm cave before. Your description is fantastic. Have to jot this down to remember it if I'm ever in the area.

t is truly one of the alternative wonders of the world. We took our children and grandchildren to see the caverns last year. Despite their ages (6-10), it was probably the most profound experience of their young lives. Stunningly beautiful.

I didn't visit Sonora caves :-( I visited "only" Carlsbad cavern in New Mexico and they were great. It's a pity I didn't have... a tripod for my camera there but I will take it to Sonora caves someday, I hope.

Never quite got here before but you make the caves sound well worth visiting. Thanks.
