Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs for winning the NBA (National Basketball Association) Championship in 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007!

San Antonio is famous for the Alamo, but it is so much more! Filled with history and other wonderful activities this town has more to do then we could fit in during our 6-day stay. We would enjoy visiting this city again. The Paseo Del Rio (Riverwalk) is a beautiful urban-renewal project that turned ram shackled houses into a beautifully landscaped river for people to stroll along, just a few feet below the busy city streets with their overhead skyscrapers. We also loved our excursions away from the town.
Stairway Fountain Along River Walk
This fountain, looking like a stairway of water, can be found along the River Walk area of San Antonio. I thought this photo, taken by my husband, had an interesting composition.
Here I am in HemisFair Park
Here I am enjoying another beautiful day in San Antonio. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and the average temperature of 69.8 degrees Fahrenheit, we had wonderful weather during our entire visit. On this day we visited HemisFair Park’s Tower of the Americans and the lovely fountains near its base.

In A Nutshell:"A beautiful city with a lots of sunshine, and lots to do, that I would visit again."

If you want a good MX restaurant in SA, do a little research first. We have many, many of them here, but every SA resident knows you have to leave the Riverwalk for it.

We are going to San Antonio in March of 2008. I enjoyed your tour of SA - especially the restaurants. Thanks! Marcia

Fine photos and descriptions on your travelogues and tips. I spent a week in San Antonio in 1989 for the TESOL convention. Loved the River Walk.
