Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring a raincoat and a medium to warm jacket a well as your summer clothing, you never can tell what might be needed. If you are going to Isle Royal, purchase all your needs before leaving the mainland, as there is only one tiny general store in the national park at Rock Harbor.
Photo Equipment: This depends on where you go, and what your purpose of photography is. If you were making the trek to Isle Royal, a telephoto or zoom lens would be an asset. In Isle Royal you might get lucky, you might see a moose, and you shouldn’t get too close, these animals can run you down faster than you can imagine. Get that photo the safe way. A polorizer filter is important if you want to get photos with the water as all or part of the subject.
Miscellaneous: Insect repellent is highly recommended.
