"Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument" Top 5 Page for this destination Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument by KimberlyAnn

The Hearst Castle, sitting on 127 protected acres, was once the estate of newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst. The 165 room estate includes the 115 room main house, and three guesthouses as well as gardens, art work, and swimming pools. After being donated to the State of California it was designated a State Historical Monument, and may be visited through a number of tours. No one tour will allow you to see the entire estate, so if you enjoy your first, you may wish to return for further tours.

Tours usually run from 8:20 to 3:20 daily, and reservations, which are recommended, can be made up to 8 weeks in advance.

Great page on Hearst Castle. I drove past a few times, always wrong timing to get on the last tour. But fun to get a virtual tour. Thanks for sharing. SL :)

Great page! Explaining the differences between the tours is a big help.
