We went to Laughlin this Thanksgiving weekend and had a blast.
The town on the Nevada side is not that big and most of the people live on the other side (Arizona) of the river but you can find loads to do here even if you do not like to gamble.
The hotels are almost the same as the ones in Las Vegas just on a smaller scale. I found the people and the hotel staff to be much more friendly and the slots paid out a little better.
I did get a lesson in playing Craps and found myself down $150.00 in about 5 min. However I made most of it up in about 2 min with one roller. This is not a game I will be playing often. |
|  | Hotel We stayed at the Harrah's Hotel and Casino which had a great view of the river and the rooms were large.
Being from Las Vegas I am not use to the casino having any sort of view of the outside world but this casino was nice as the river side of the building gave you a great view of the river and the mountains on the other side.

River and Beach Make sure that when you go to Laughlin that you check out the beach.
Rent a wave runner or a jet ski for the day and enjoy the sunshine. | | |
