Gateway to Death Valley

Baker is located 103 miles from Las Vegas on I-15 on the way from Las Vegas to LA.

I drive through the town of Baker California every few weeks and have found some great places to eat and to shop.

Baker is also the gateway to Death Valley where you will find the lowest point in the United States as well as some great camping.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Good rest stop
Cons:High prices for gas
In a nutshell:Good place to stop but I would not want to live there.

Unfortunately, gone is the awesome Greek guy who used to greet every customer. You will now find yourself arguing with the Mexican manager about why your food took 25 minutes.
