What can I say about this old capitol and beautiful city that has not been said before? The real attraction of this city is not the beer or the Oomph bands but is the history, people and culture.
There are loads of things to do and see in the old part of town and you can do it all without spending a whole lot of money, if ya do it right.
Munich is know for the Octoberfest however the Munich Oktoberfest is known by the locals as the "Wiesn" and is the biggest public festival in the world and will be held in 2003 for the 170th time. That is a long party if you ask me.
There is more to the city than just Octoberfest and each month there is something else going on.

I agree, i bought a nice blue-white shirt, price was ok. But the beermugs can be bought cheaper in their branch at Wienerplatz!

Servus buddy, last Saturday I went to see FC Bayern vs. Kaiserslautern - the score was 4:1 !!! Lautern really isnt what it used to be - while FC Bayern is as strong as always! ;-P
