    • Favorite Thing: Oberammergau is the home of the Passion play which is held every ten years without fail.
    From what I understand it has only NOT been on twice in the many many years of having the play.

    You need to make reservations many years in advance to get tickets to this function.

    • Favorite Thing: This area of Germany is known for its hiking and biking trails and it's fresh air so get out to see it when you visit Oberammergau.

    You will find many locals walking in the forest and riding down the bike trails all year round.

    Fondest Memory: The forest here is so clean and it is always a pleasure to hike the many trails that are here.

    • Favorite Thing: You will find some of the nicest cooko clocks in southern Germany in the local shops which are priced about half of what you will find them for in America.

    Fondest Memory: We liked the smallness of the town and all of the christmas shops that were there.

    • Favorite Thing: There is a lot of nature to see in this area of Germany. There are many hidden caves and green forests (not black) as well as small rivers and creeks to walk along.
