Getting TO/AROUND: For getting around town use the public transport. The busses are nice with air-conditioning so it makes for a little break from all of the walking. The busses and subway work well in Rome. Just watch the gypsy kids and mothers. Most of the people of Rome use Vespas to get around so watch out for them.

Getting TO/AROUND: If you wanted to risk your life and have a little fun while doing it you could rent a Vespa or Moto and try getting around town. There are many folks that use the Vespa for their main means of transportation but most look like they are under the age of 20 so they have no fear. I fo one would not try it but if you feel like giving it a go.....GO FOR IT...!!
