First and foremost... watch out for the gypsy mothers and their kids! Never leave anything sitting behind you or unattended EVER! Use a fanny pack and do not remove it. Be smart and DO NOT flash cash. If the street does not look safe then DO NOT go there...Simple

Watch out for the pickpockets at the Trevi fountain and watch out for the kids that offer to take your picture with your camera, they have been known to run off with your camera into the dark side streets.
