    • Within the palace is the room known as the hall of mirrors. This room is very impressive as you can see. The sunlight reflects off the mirrors to provide light and the mirrors make the room look larger. The figures and lamps along the walls are covered with gold leaf and are awesome.

    • There are many statues around the palace grounds and the island. Many are a bit strange but beautiful to look at. Pick a park bench and take a close look at each and look at the detail in the art work.

    • The land on the island is very fertile and crops are still grown here. The crops that are grown are used mostly for the animals that are on the island like the cows and the horses. When we were there one of the fields was being cleared in an old fashion way with horse and plow.

     An interresting page and great pics ! Herrenchiemsee is in fact a great place to go ! Unfortunately I missed the interior as I came too late !
