Dachau, Germany

by TinKan - last update: Jan 14, 2003

The city of Dachau is more famous for the World War 2 concentration camp than anything else but there is more to see than just the camp.

The town is very beautiful and is well laid out with a good public transportation system.

We did not get to see much of the downtown area of the city as we decided to focus on the camp and its history in the short amount of time we had here.

I agree with you that this is a part of history and it should be told. It must never be forgotten.

The palace in Dachau is also amazing with a beautiful garden - but 99% of the visitors just see the Nazi camp...
