The city of Dachau is more famous for the World War 2 concentration camp than anything else but there is more to see than just the camp.
The town is very beautiful and is well laid out with a good public transportation system.
We did not get to see much of the downtown area of the city as we decided to focus on the camp and its history in the short amount of time we had here. |

KimberlyAnn Mon May 30, 2005 19:53 UTC I agree with you that this is a part of history and it should be told. It must never be forgotten. | matcrazy1 Fri May 21, 2004 18:59 UTC Yes, it's definetely part of our history... although sad. | Leipzig Sun Mar 21, 2004 16:35 UTC Unbelievable what happened here. Hope those times will never return ! | Henkster Sun Oct 19, 2003 20:14 UTC The palace in Dachau is also amazing with a beautiful garden - but 99% of the visitors just see the Nazi camp... |
