| | Culture and Clubbing Cusco is the one place in South America that your mom would consider going. Probably because everyone has heard of Macchu Picchu. Plus, you don't have to slum it in this town.
There is a TON to see and do in and around Cusco. The sacred valley and Machu Picchu and the city itself are great to explore.
Not only can you learn all about Quechua culture, but you can party your brains out with all the other tourists. It's loads of fun. BUT, being a tourist town has it's drawbacks. Don't expect to be able to walk around the main square in peace. You'll be hounded by vendors of all sorts. |
Quechua Quechua was the language of the Inca empire, and is still used today.

tkdmaggiez Thu Oct 18, 2007 22:46 UTC I had a similar experience only that I was one with a terrible company. T In any case, I would recommend going just not using Extreme Eco Tours, it put a real damper on the trip. | dsantosh Mon Dec 13, 2004 12:21 UTC Nice page. | neilward Wed Apr 14, 2004 12:46 UTC Great pages,I'm off there in september, cant wait... | chancay Sat Jan 3, 2004 11:37 UTC Great page!
