LUDWIGSBURG

Schwabischer Versaille - Residenzschloss

Residenzschloss
Ludwigsburg is situated in 20 minutes from center of Stuttgart and you may get it by means of S-Bahn. It's the country residence of Land's Herzogs. The castle was built in 1704 by Herzog Eberhard Ludwig. It seems (I'll find it out), that he, as well, planned and built the town around. There are 452 rooms in the castle, huge park with interesting places!! I've been to Ludwigsburg in December 31 and there were less people and unfortunately I wasn't inside.

Andrey, I can't believe that I neither made it to Ludwigsburg nor to your fabulous page about it before. Well done.

I've never been to this area of Germany, but it looks beautiful in the snow! (it's soooo hot here right now!) I'm never happy with the weather! LOL!

I like the tower, it would get me curious as well :) Hm, I would love to see the park as well, especially the Japanese garden!
