The capital of the oil and gas of Russia So far I was 4 times in Tyumen', 2 ones in the business trips. Well, and 3 times in 2007 :-) The city is very interesting for me although last time I was in February I got almost frozen in the street while I was walking in -27C temperature :-)
The city was founded in 1586 in order of Fedor Ivanovich Russia Tsar that to keep the Eastern borders. It was situated on the trade road to Middle Asia and became one of the trade centers of the region. In 1885 the Trans-Syberian rail reached the city. |
