In December2005-January2006 I visited Stuttgart second time. I like the city very much and I have a spirit of relaxation here. I don't know why I don't have it somewhere else :-) I like being here.
The city is mentioned in the Roman times as a place in the main roads. Approximately in 900 year AD Herzog Schwaben founded the studfarm that got name "Stuotgarten" and it was the main sourse of good horses. The horse is a symbol of the city that you see on the city emblem. So the studfarm name became the city name some later. Stuttgart became the capital of the dukedom in 1495 and since then it's the main city of the Land Baden-Wurttenberg. In 1805 Napoleon made kingdom Baden-Wurttenberg that was existed till revolution of 1918. The city has many places worth visiting. |

Very interesting. I have been in Stuttgart in January for a travel fair, but I did not see much of the city. What a pity! |
