Getting TO/AROUND: It took an hour for me to get Tuebingen from Stuttgart by RE train (regional train). The price is EUR 10 one way. The direct route Stuttgart-Tuebingen is full of trains and you can go every hour. The railway in tuebingen is very close to the old city (you can buy city map by the way in the station).
