Niagara Falls is surely the central attraction for all the tourists to Ontario. It is estimated that 6 million tourists visit Ontario's Niagara region every year. I am going to take a slightly different approach in my pages. I will concentrate on all those attractions that happen to be around Niagara Falls that get overlooked by a casual tourist.
I have been to Niagara Falls many times, most of them on special occasions, like on a long weekend, July 1, or December 31. However, it is on days other than the special ones that I believe I enjoyed the region the most.
Welland County itself comprises of several touristy towns, e.g. St. Catherines, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort Erie. I will try to cover attractions of those towns on these pages too. |
