Malaysia is Land of “ Rasa Sayang” – a feeling of love.
This is a land of cultural and religious fusion – Malays, Chinese, Tamil Indians, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity blend together to make Malaysia truly Asia. Malaysia is also the land of rolling green hills, tropical rain forests, busy cities and peaceful villages, tumbling rivers and wildlife rich jungles.
We had thought of Malaysia as a typical over-hyped destination. However, when we reached it, all our preconceived notions were shattered. The beauty of Malaysia and the hospitality of its people over-whelmed us like no place else that we had visited before.
When you visit Malaysia, you will notice posters every where reading, “Keranamu Malaysia”. This means “Malaysia because of you”. Surely, what we see of Malaysia seemed to be because of the individual effort of each and every single Malaysian. Each member of the society seems to be a contributing member of the Image that Malaysia has created and takes ownership of the burden.
Terima kasih (translation: thank you) Malaysians for making our visit to your beautiful country a truly memorable event in our lives.
“We will be back”. |

1. Why Patronas Towers has 88 stories?
2. What is real Kuala Lumpur?
3. How to get rid of the pungent smell of doorians?
4. Why KL river is so dangerous?
5. Where do the elites live and who is the car lover of Malaysia?
5. Where are the major attractions of KL concentrated, and most importantly,
6. Who is watching us while in the rain forests, etc.? |
Get an idea of the size of the country. Malaysia is a medium sized country spreading over an area of 330,000 square kilometers.
The size makes it slightly smaller than Germany (360,000 sq. kms) and slightly larger than US' mid Atlantic states of NY, PA, NJ, DA, and ML put together (319,200 sq. kms). | | | Bathing the elephant at the sanctuary |
