Flew out the day after the British government issued a travel warning. Thanks, chaps. However, all the Zanzibaris just laughed at the thought of someone trying to "do a Bali". MUCH more of a menace are the touts hasslling for taxi rides, tours, souvenir shops etc etc etc. Just say 'hapana asante' (no, thanks) and walk on briskly. DO NOT try and be friendly. |

sue_stone Sat Mar 5, 2005 08:48 UTC Aaahh yes, the Baobab Pizza restaurant - what memories! | cadzand Thu Mar 3, 2005 10:51 UTC Of course Morzine is totally different from Zanzibar :-)) Have a nice skiing holiday though. | pchamlis Wed Dec 31, 2003 18:34 UTC Good hotel advice on Zanzibar, Sarah. BTW, you might want to look into doxycycline for malaria. Much cheaper. I've never had any real problem with sun sensitivity, which is reportedly the biggest possible side-effect. : ) | nada1712 Fri Oct 24, 2003 19:58 UTC Excellent Zanzibar page - esp accommodation tips best wishes nada |
