Thanks for visiting my page!

I've visited 26 countries so far and am hoping for at least another 20 before I shuffle off ...
Living in London (errr .. hence the nick .. not very imaginative I know) most of my tips so far are on this great city. Mostly restaurant tips, I have to admit - but quite a lot of shopping, too!

So, for 2008 we have lots of trips planned. Am very excited about our Indochina trip - three completely new countries, plus a flying visit to Hong Kong.

Here's the list so far:

Early Feb: Weekend in Paris to see the Giacometti exhibition
Easter: France again: Bordeaux and St Jean de Luz
April/May: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia
Late May: Weekend in Dresden
September: Walking in Umbria

As I get older, I realise with horror that I'm turning into a 'twitcher'. Blue cranes in South Africa, golden eagles in the French Alps .. these seem to be more and more the highlights of a holiday, rather than the scenery or the food. But could you resist the penguins at Boulder Bay??

OK so we now know he loves skiing and I don't. But that's fine. We still have the best holidays ever, together. And get enjoyment from the simplest things, just being somewhere different, watching the folk and drinking the beer.
