Town Hall Square

The Town Hall Square is one of the most important places in the city. You can see the Town Hall from this picture and as far as I remember it is over 600 yrs old. In this square there is also the centre of the city. There are marks about it in the ground, so if you have time, you can look it up. Most of the Old Town streets wind up here, one way or the other. During special events this place will turn into a market where you can buy handcrafts, jewelry, food...

The ladies selling the sweaters are quite lovely, and their sweaters are wonderful. We even found one with cocker spaniels on it! The prices are generally reasonable.

great tips, especially on restaurants. talinn reminds me a lot of vilnius. especially the elephant restaurant...there's a similar one called white elephant in vilnius. i also like your VT travelogue.
