Sweden is a big, long and friendly country. It is easy to get around and most of the time well organised. There is no more rules and legislation than anywere else and the summers are much warmer than the reputation says. The countryside is open for everyone to roam but you have to behave and treat mother earth with respect. Every swede has grown up with something called Allemansrätten embedded in our spine and we know it in our heart. Foreigners should make their time to learn about this so we can keep up this great tradition. Try this webbside: http://www.acc.umu.se/~widmark/lwallegb.html
It is in both english and german and has summarised the Allemansrätten the way most of us know it.
Visit our cities and discover our varied scenery from north to south. There's not so many counries left in the world were you can find so much uninhabited land and even if our cities are small in comparison there is still much to do and see in them. Best time to visit Sweden is summer mostly to be at least a little bit sure about getting good weather. My personal favorite time is autumn, around September-October. The colours and the fresh air in combination with alot of sun is outstanding. It is also a good time to go trekking in the north and Lappland, still good weather (even if a bit unsteady) and no mosquitoes!
