Of course it was raining. I could blame that for being on the wrong road but, if I'm being totally honest, I simply took the wrong turn out of Wells. However, as soon as I hit (figuratively speaking of course) the main square I was pleased I did. The road through Axbridge parallels the main road so you lose little in time, travel-wise, but gain much in past times, history-wise. |
