"Waddesdon - par excellence" Waddesdon by iandsmith

There is the village Waddesdon and there is Waddesdon Manor. How good is Waddesdon Manor? Bearing in mind I have seen relatively little of Great Britain but have managed to get to places such as Hampton Court and Chatsworth to name but a few, I found Waddesdon Manor to be the finest piece of architecture anywhere.
It was love at first sight. Baroque, neo-classical and Gothic all rolled into one in a splendid transfusion of styles. I couldn't get enough of it. If I return to England, this is the number one place that will be on my list.
