This is VT-er Trekki's favourite town. She waxes lyrical about it and, based a lot on that (and its location) I decided to spend three nights there.
Trekki actually took time off work for a couple of days and organized a special tour of her favourite church in the whole world, the local Dom.
If I am being totally honest, I prefer one or two other towns in Germany but, while I was there, I had a very interesting and relaxing time.
As an added bonus I got to meet another VT history buff Christine_J who I have shared notes with previously and who also went out of her way. Both, along with our guide for the Dom, the astute Dr.-Ing Jorg Finkbeiner, turned out to be veritable fonts of information.
This then, is a record of those three days.
