"Classic hilltop town" Top 5 Page for this destination Orvieto by iandsmith
Orvieto Travel Guide: 209 reviews and 736 photos
I had it on my schedule and called in during my first trip to Italy. It lingered in the memory; though we had spent a little time and done the underground tour we knew it wasn't enough.
Thus it came to pass that I booked in for three nights, right in the centre of the old town. That should do it I thought, and so it did.
- Pros:Classic hilltop town, easy to get around, more to look at than you think
- Cons:Parking
- In a nutshell:One of Italy's top hilltop towns, definitely worth a look

Your tips and photos do a marvelous job of showing off Orvieto. I am seriously thinking about including it at the end of a 3 1/2 week trip to Italy in mid April. I just wonder how accessible it is by train from Siena? Anyway thanks for your pics and dialogue! Really well done.
Just fabulous! Stunning photos and a text to match. It's a privilege to be the first to comment. Bravo! Bravissimo!!
