Bundanoon is a name I used to hear from my mother. She used to mention it in glowing terms. I determined to go there at some stage after she passed away, just to see what the fuss was about. The catalyst, in the end, was the bush. I love the Aussie bush. I fully understand when expats, poets and songwriters all pine (pun intended) for the eucalypts, wildlife and the myriad numbers of birds that inhabit the scene. Bundanoon promised some bush walks, quite apart from the village itself set amongst the Southern Highlands of N.S.W., I went to have a look. |
