Mountain retreat

This is an adult's idea of an escape from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, the area that Mount Tambourine tends to feed off. Up here, despite the numbers of people visiting, especially on weekends, it definitely has a more relaxed feel.
There are so many art and crafts shops I couldn't begin to list them all, suffice it to say that you can buy anything from sandalwood candles to Swiss cuckoo clocks here.
If epicurean is your thing then there's more than enough eating establishments here to satisfy even the most tired of pallettes.

Everytime I return to the Botanic Gardens, more has been added. Will have to pay another visit in spring.

One of my oldest friends fr my days in Adelaide lived in Mt. Tamborine and I was fortunate to visit twice; a special place. Beautiful place.
