Place of the Nut

There are some iconic hills used in literature concerning Tasmanian tourism and The Nut at Stanley certainly gets its fair share of prominence.
However, Stanley has more to offer than just a lump of rock jutting out from the mainland. It has historical roots that have been well preserved and more than a few rural industries.
It also has windy weather, that's part because it's in Tasmania and partly because it's stuck out in the water.
In this pic you can see the very steep walkway and the alternative chairlift, the two options to get you to the top of The Nut.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Nice scenery, good history
  • Cons:Can be windy

Gee, you had some luck that the cow was there when you wanted to take the photo, really adds to the shot and makes it a great photo.
