Lampung - The Gate to Further West

South Sumatra

To be honest, I dont know much about the tourism here. It is my father's hometown, a port city, the last city of Sumatra island. There is a place called pasir putih (white sand) which is a famous tourist place. I have only visited this beautiful beach twice. When I was really young and sadly, I cannot find any picture of it. Maybe one day I will refresh myself of the childhood's memory.

There is also an elephant zoo, somewhere in a zoo, further north of South Sumatra province. This one, I have not visit. It is sad to me to see the elephants doing some tricks to amuse the tourist just to get a bite of meal.
