My Hometown This busy city, the capital of Indonesia, is the place where I was born, 22 years ago, place where I studied for the past 14 years, place where 80% of my family lived.
The population is 14million daytime, 10 million nighttime. Why the 4 million gap? Those are for the people travelled in and out the busy streets to work.
In the Ramadhan (Moslem's holy month) the city feels really empty as most of the people living in Jakarta are not local. They were from many places from far east and west of Indonesia. Believe it or not, the city will rise 1cm off the normal ground level, due to the amount of people leaving this overcrowded city.
That is a short introduction of my hometown. I have no pictures of any interesting places in Jakarta, as I have just appreciate this city after I travelled to other parts of the world. |
