    • This is a rainforest garden spread over 27 acres of land, which was opened to the public as a botanical garden in 1957. Don't touch the plants as some are poisonous. Because it's a rainforest, there are moquitoes so be sure to bring your bug repellent. Many many tropical Hawaiian plants are found and classified here.

    • Going on a helicopter tour? The way you recognize our town is by the pineapple fields that surround us! Here you can actually see different stages of planting ... with the closest fields you can see the plastic sheets they've put down to help with moisture as well as weed control. Soon after the plastic sheeting is layed out, the pineapples will be planted on either side of the plastic.

     I'm a Wahiawa girl and miss it so much.When you move away, you realize all the little things that you take for granted. Wahiawa is a wonderful place to live. The people there are sweet and really show the aloha spirit. I MISS WAHIAWA, BUT I'LL BE BACK!!!!    		Quero Wed Nov 24, 2004 06:41 UTC
