NM Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum

Just in Las Cruces, this was a "different" type of museum than most people stop for. Not having any particular interest in farming or ranching, what was behind the walls was rather interesting. Small, but well laid out and very helpful information center. You will find lots of history on cattle and crop farming in NM and if you're there at the right time, you get to see two resident cows being milked! There is a hands on museum just for the kids also.

Geronimo Springs Museum

This is a small museum with more than just Geronimo artifacts. This museum covers military, indians, spaniards, women in history etc along with a room exclusively for Geronimo and his kinfolk.

Picnic on the mountain

Explore. Don't go to New Mexico without exploring areas inbetween. We drove up to the mountains for a picnic and were fortunate enough to see this beautiful view of Alamogordo. Far to the back of the photo, you'll see White Sands also. Visit to explore, explore to experience!
