Splendors of New Mexico

Dusk sets in the desert

Real desert atmosphere !

While the length of time I actually lived in this desert state has been in fragmented stay-overs ranging from weekend trips to 6 month stays with my in-laws ... we made the most of visiting the area. This is also where I got married. See my amateur shot of an awesome sunset at White Sands National Park. I'll be working on my pages in the next few months, so please don't be too disappointed at the lack of info at the moment. Please visit back on a notion. ~ TropicGirl77

Unexpected wildlife in this desert region

Most would fail to realize that New Mexico offers a large population of wildlife not expected in desert areas. While lizards are common, there are many other "larger" animals that roam the land, as well as tons of migratory birds, not to mention countless roadrunners!

Grouchy desert folk

Not much USUAL in New Mexico !

New Mexico is a very interesting state, though driving can be boring between the many desert miles from one populated town to the next. Some of the most unusual and certainly interesting signs were found in this state! This is my favorite ~ for who else would be so honest and up front about their resident grouches!
