Miles and Miles of Kansas

Our travels in Kansas were strictly limited to "passing through" and one stay over for lunch while meeting a wonderful family I met online. I admit, the state of Kansas can be quite boring once you hit the interstate from east to west ... our car was filled with "are we there yet". I fell for the oldest trick in Billboard USA ... we saw the signs that boasted of 6-legged steers and 8,000 pound prairie dogs! We were hooked ... we followed the signs for miles, literally! We finally arrived (none too soon ... ) and indeed, there was the six-legged steer and also a 5 legged cow (pictured laying to the left). There was also a HUGE 4 ton CONCRETE prairie dog in the back! HAHA. Okay, hook line and sinker ... but it was a nice short visit into a tourist trap, and the kids were totally thrilled at the cages of rattlers.

What a shame they didn't have the worlds biggest ball of string! Or the largest collection of rusty cans. You did right by falling in the trap. . A story that may be passed down generations in the family....just think it!
