All Clear for Take Off !!!

I have moved very often: every few years, I up and pack for another big move (okay, I sort through my belongings, and then I let professional packers take care of the rest of the details!) Each move is a new adventure. Sometimes it might be just a few streets away, sometimes clear across the nation. Little tidbits about my travels habits are: I move a lot, but you already gathered that. I have lived in at least eleven states; officially had at least twenty-three residence addresses. While I may travel for years to come, and I know for a fact that my present address is finally my last. While I would love to travel back to Scotland, or visit Okinawa for the first time, or even cross the Canadian/US border, I am content to travel wherever my means will allow, with no regrets.
UPDATED: 2006 had me crossing the Canadian border a number of times, and 2008 saw me revisiting Scotland, I have many dreams fulfilled!

CAN WE REST NOW???

I have subjected my poor children to travel since the two oldest were yet toddlers. They have utterly and totally forgiven me (I give them GIFTS) We have many happy memories and tons of scrapbooks to help us re-live some of the moments of our early travel. Now that they have all left home, they tend to get jealous when I tell them where we're headed to for vacation, or who is coming to visit us. They HATE missing out on all the fun, but have yet to open their eyes and discover that they are STILL making memories, and realize so begins a new segment of travels in their very own personal journey journal!

Never hesitate to go beyond the doors ... you never know what opportunity lays ahead. Eyes open, respect the land and meet the people, taste their food. If language is a barrier, SMILES are international, and try a little sign language ... after all, God gave us HANDS!!! Host someone!

Hi Val! Thanks for the visit to my page. Haiti was a life changing trip, I am working on a return trip there and possibly a trip to Japan with the same group to help in their recovery as well.
