The first thing one notices as he or she steps out of Stazione Centrale(main train station) in Milan is the people; Most of the locals dress in a very modern, fashionable manner, especially the ladies. And I do not deny that I did find myself turning back to catch another glance of the bella signora that just walked past me. :)
Yet the city renowned for its high fashion and branded boutiques has its look somewhat smeared(literally) by many acts of graffiti on the walls of their buildings and even shops. Perhaps it was just the "born and raised in clean, green Singapore" senses in me that were reacting to it but I somehow couldn't help but feel sorry for the city, whose walls are blemished due to some lack of efforts to curb graffitti.
Thankfully, the historical sights like the city's Duomo(cathedral) remain unharmed. Milan also has many good restaurants that will satisfy food lovers especially those that appreciate a fine plate of pasta!
