A quite area of the Algarve placed between the resorts of Praia de Rocha and Alvor (both only a 5 Euro taxi ride away). With its own quite beach that has more spectacular scenery than most Algarve beaches with 100 ft rock formations sprouting out of the sea nearby and clean white sand(not shown very well in picture). Nearby Praia de Rocha is a loud and somewhat brash, ideal for groups of single young men and women who want a holiday of drinking and sunbathing. Alvor however is somewhat quieter (a real couples place) it still has plenty of bars and restaurants. If you like sea food this is the place to eat as it is still and active fishing village.
