picture of the famous ponte de vecchio. just outside the uffizi. florence was amazing. this is how i imagined an italian city would be. large piazzas, local mom and pop shops, flea markets, and quality musuems. not as many cars as rome. safer and cleaner than rome. the musuems were fabulous, the uffizi and the academia. |

When I was there (August 2003) the price was around 22 Euro a night. It's possible that there prices have gone up (and the value of the american dollar is in decline). I definitely recommend this place! | LizC Fri May 10, 2002 03:50 UTC
